Dr. Lisa Mertz
I grew up in Pflugerville, TX with my younger brother and sister. Growing up I played as many sports as possible, and that love for sports hasn’t changed much in my adult life. After high school, I received my Bachelor’s degree at Angelo State University (Go Rams!), majoring in Biology with a double minor in Chemistry and Psychology. I then made my way down to Houston to earn my DDS from the University of Texas School of Dentistry at Houston in 2015. I’ve been a dentist for over 5 years now and can’t believe how fast the time has flown!
Dentistry is a profession that will allow for me to continue to grow, learn, and evolve throughout my career. I’m pretty competitive in most aspects of life- likely why I pushed to find a career that could challenge me- and that competitive nature can be displayed when I’m out playing sand volleyball, lifting at the gym, or even in a friendly game of UNO with the family during the holidays.
My dental philosophy has always been “if I wouldn’t do that treatment on my mama, I wouldn’t do it on my patient!” Sounds silly, but it’s an important mindset to have. If you treat every patient like family, then you’ll always have their best interest at heart. My favorite aspect of dentistry is the people. I love getting to know my patients, learning their story, treating the whole family. Being a dentist allows for me to hangout with all different types of patients (including the kiddos!), and perform a range of procedures. No two days are alike, always keeps things interesting!
My goal is to make every dental appointment as enjoyable as possible, we all know it’s usually the least favorite place for most to be! I hope that I can continue to provide a positive experience for my patients, grow in my craft, and do my best to erase that “scary dentist” image 🙂

He strives to build confidence in patients’ lives by allowing their voices to be heard and acknowledged so there is no miscommunication along the way. Dr. Kirk is passionate about furthering his dental knowledge and regularly participates in continuing education to provide patients with the most current dental techniques.
Dr. Nicole Branca
Hey everybody, I’m Nicole Branca and I have been a dentist for over 14 years. I grew up on the west side of Fort Worth before moving to Brownwood for college, where I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Howard Payne University. I married my college sweetheart and we moved to Houston where I attended and graduated from the University of Texas Dental Branch at Houston. My husband and I have been married for eighteen years and have three boys. When I am not working, I enjoy training for my next half-marathon, cooking, traveling, going to Disney World with the boys, reading, and watching movies.
My goal as a dentist is to always put the needs of my patients first and to provide them with the best dental care possible. The highlight of my day is when I get to see my patient’s expression when they look in the mirror for the first time after restoring their smile. Those moments are what make me truly love what I do.
