Due north of Dallas is the fast-growing city of Frisco, where families have been multiplying for years due to the area’s reputation for good schools as well as being within commuting distance of their Dallas-Fort Worth jobs.

The area started as a train stop along the pioneer trails in the early 1900s. It grew slowly until the past 30 years, when the population increased exponentially from 34,000 in 1990 to more than 220,000 in 2022.

With a median age of 37, Frisco residents are a diverse, college-educated and career-oriented community who enjoy several sporting venues nearby, as well as historical museums and art galleries.

Family Dentists in Frisco

We understand that there’s nothing more important than finding a dentist you can trust with your kids. Their comfort and their health is your No. 1 concern, and you can rely on us feeling the same way.

With older kids, several dental concerns may start to arise. By age 8, more than half of children have had a cavity in their baby teeth. Besides brushing twice a day, regular cleanings and even sealants can help extend the life of your child’s baby teeth. This is important, as good oral health is also linked to better school attendance and performance.

If cavities do happen, our fillings and crown work is highly skilled. Our modern dentistry practice offers the latest treatment options. We’re a mercury-free practice, and we opt for composite resin fillings over amalgam. We offer drilling-free cavity treatments, including laser cavity filling, resin infiltration, and silver diamine fluoride. And you never have to worry about your child being in pain — we have many sedation options.

By the time your children enter their teen years, you may notice some misalignment with their permanent teeth. A bad bite can make it more difficult for your child to brush their teeth, as well as interfering with chewing. Today Dental of Frisco has the latest orthodontics treatments, including braces and Invisalign.

Metal braces aren’t what they used to be! We design smooth and sleek braces that yield beautiful results. And with Invisalign, we fit your child’s teeth with a series of clear, plastic trays that they then wear to create a straight smile.

Most families tend to have dental insurance, but we know some insurance plans leave a little to be desired. For this reason, we offer CareDent. It is a simple, no-fuss payment plan with transparent pricing so you can see up front exactly how much your dental procedure will cost. We also offer many discounts and new-patient specials.

We also understand that you’re busy, and that your DFW commute might make it difficult to make a midweek appointment. So we have good news — our office is open on Saturdays!

(On the other hand, you can come in right away for pain relief because we also admit walk-in patients!)

Wisdom Teeth Removal in Frisco

When your teens near the end of high school (or between the ages of 17 and 25), they may start to get their third molars, or wisdom teeth. Oftentimes these teeth do not have room to come in normally, and may need to be removed.

Signs of impacted wisdom teeth include red or swollen gums, jaw pain, difficulty opening your mouth, swelling around the jaw and an unpleasant taste in your mouth.

Wisdom teeth can also cause several problems inside the mouth. For instance, they can push against the surrounding molars and cause damage or infection in that area. They can cause cysts in the jawbone where they are developing. If they are partially impacted, they can decay because it’s more difficult to clean them.

Our dentists at Today Dental of Frisco will monitor your child’s wisdom teeth and recommend an extraction if needed. Everyone is different and on their own schedule, and we will come up with an individual treatment plan accordingly. We take great care to discuss treatment options with you and ensure that you are comfortable with your choices.

Experience Modern Dentistry in Frisco

Today Dental of Frisco isn’t like other dental clinics — and we are happy to say so! We are transforming dentistry to be the way it should be.

When you open the door to our Frisco office, our friendly and professional team will welcome you with the warmth of a family member. You might notice that we wear one orange shoe and one blue shoe. This is to promote awareness of the Scottish Rite Hospital, which provides donations for live-changing procedures, such as the one that helped our founder treat his child’s club foot.

Our check-in process is paper-free and streamlined so you can head straight to our waiting room, where you can make a coffee or grab a drink from our fully-stocked beverage station, then kick back on a cozy chair or couch and watch TV (we have Netflix!).

When you are shown to your own private room, you can continue your relaxation in our comfortable dental chair and watch a show from the ceiling TV. Feel free to bring in headphones to fully zone out and go to your happy place.

Our hygienists and dentists will explain each step of your procedure and encourage you to make decisions with zero pressure. Your comfort and health are our highest priority, which is why we listen to your feedback and make on-the-spot adjustments.

For example, if you’re feeling anxious, just say so. We offer anesthesia (nitrous, oral sedation or IV sedation) and firmly feel that your experience should be painless.

We are proud to say that a majority of our patients visit us once and are then patients for life, and even refer extended family to our offices. If this sounds like the dental relationship you’d like to have, let’s get to know each other. Contact the Today Dental of Frisco office today!
